Sea Slaughter

Quite a few SLObees made the short trek through the wind to the lush glory of the biggest annual cycling event. This was my 11th Sea Otter, and definitely the biggest I've seen to date. While plenty of racing went on, Sea Otter has lost a bit of its original, "festival" atmosphere. We did our best to bring that back.

Within minutes, we had a full pixie bike slalom cours. Yes!!!

Happy birthday team W!

What a nerd. Nerd!

Coral threw her back out from throwing up non-stop the entire weekend before Sea Otter, so she was just spectating. However, she was a trooper, and we got her heckling like a champ within minutes!

Greg loved Sea Otter

Gerrit has always loved Sea Otter

Soda pop!

Ripper!

Family!

Leland enjoys the sweet nectar of life.

Team Marin, probably chatting about me being a complete goofball.

Kayman enjoys a soda.

Not actually at Sea Otter, but I need a space holder.

Muppet, doing what Muppet does best.

Team Marin was amazed that the singletrack allowed bikes...

Hell yeah campfire!

This guy showed up on a 50cc, complete with a tot on the handlebar, and absolutely shredded the pixie course!

Too bad we got 3 official warnings about Leland's 50...

Braaaaaap!

We had a good time. It was a bit cold on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, but our campfires, both in our fire rings and in our hearts, kept us warm. Sea Otter the Festival will never say die!

This wasn't actually taken at Sea Otter, but Connor needs to see this photo... as does everyone else!

Happy Birthday Wendy!

So after this raceless race report, does anyone really care about the results? Kyle was in the mid 30's, and I was in the mid 60's.
